Argo and the Violet Queens
Argo and the Violet Queens are a new alternative rock band based out of Washington DC. The group's live set consists of Argo's retro influenced solo material, and is backed by a classic rock lineup. Every one of the band's four members make unique contributions to the overall sound through their implementation of seventies psychedelia, uplifting new wave attitudes, fifties rock and roll aesthetics, and rhythmic flourishes informed by jazz tradition. The cohesive sound created by this expansive list of influences yields a highly engaging live show that leaves audience members anticipating what sonic era they’ll experience next.
I Wish I Had Stayed
I Wish I Had Stayed, latest indie emo endeavor of Washington DC based songwriter Landon Philip, is unapologetically self-deprecating yet cautiously optimistic. They are here to find tomorrow's solutions to yesterday's problems, one shout at a time.
Milo in the Doldrums
Milo in the Doldrums is a sonic collage of 90's nostalgia coupled with modern indie-rock sentimentality. With a string of EPs in tow (Milo in the Doldrums, Richards Glasses, Built For No One), Milo in the Doldrums is currently working with D.C. producer Ben Green (Ivakota Recording, Fairweather) on their debut LP.
