Corduroy Conjunction
Music For Little Guys…
Born out of the dorms of George Washington University in the Fall of 2022, Corduroy Conjunction is a five-piece band that includes acoustic rhythm, electric lead, and bass as well as drums and keyboard. Sonically, the band employs nostalgic elements, reflecting a variety of influences ranging from Brian Wilson to Wilco, to create a uniquely eclectic blend. Lyrically, their original songs are wholesomely earnest, self-deprecating, and often quite silly. Thematically, the band romanticizes the mundane through exploring the complexities of personal relationships and the politics of daily life. Corduroy Conjunction recently released their self-recorded/produced debut single, "E.T. Produce" - a track that has garnered a cult-like following among college students and dads alike.
Shin Dig
Shin Dig is a band that can’t be boxed into one genre. Their tongue-in-cheek psych-punk is laced with love, politics, and killer riffs.
Painthinner
Painthinner is an alternative rock band from NW, DC, blending original compositions and covers with influences from King Krule and Julie. Since starting in May 2023, they've performed across various venues, drawing from experiences of longing and the complexities of growing up. Their music, rich with electric guitar, bass, and drums, offers a unique edge with flirtatious lyrics. Emerging into the George Washington University and DC music scene, Painthinner has shown rapid growth as a band but also as a community.
