Makeup Girl
Who is Makeup Girl? Citizens of the District of Columbia have called their music "electrifying," "dazzling," and "funky." We Interviewed a recent attendant of their shows, and they said they are one of the best live performers in the city working today. But who are they, really? A pack of thieving mongrels hired by Jesse James? A political superPAC? No, and no. Their sole objective is to make you have a good time, with a musical blend of rock, rhythm-and-blues, and psychedelic jazz.
Fetcher
Fetcher is a four piece alternative rock band from Baltimore Maryland. Taking a mix of inspiration from anything that sounds good to us, our sound is a funky soup of everything we grew up listening to and have found along the way. Our sound has been compared to Foo Fighters, the Flaming Lips and Jimmy Eat World.
Barefoot Young
Relocating to Boston in late 2019, Barefoot Young has established itself in the New England indie scene through hooky guitar leads and dancy synth lines under infectious vocal melodies that hint at the band's various influences including Toro Y Moi, Hippo Campus, and Spacey Jane. The core of Barefoot Young consists of Ian, Derek, and Ben who have been writing and performing together for over 15 years. In 2021, they were joined by Austin transplant Jon Wallis who has provided an energetic spark to live performances and songwriting which has been channeled in the bands most recent EP ‘Falling Fast’ released April 2023. The band is currently recording a full length LP set to release in mid 2024.
